My workout routine is a mishmash, hodgepodge, mess right now.
I’m sneaking in bits and pieces of whatever, whenever, just hoping that those odds and ends will eventually add up to something.
And it is. It’s allowing me to eat brownies and drink that glass of wine without gaining weight. That’s something.
It allowed me to go four miles the other day – even if part of it was walking.
But it is not enough.
I kinda, sorta flirted with the question of turning into an athlete when I started this blog. If I want to transform from my lumpy, bumpy, wimpy, geeky self into something new, I really need to step it up.
Thus, I’ve traded in my watermelon a.k.a. medicine ball fill-in for the real thing. (It was getting rotten anyway.) Time to step it up a notch.
Who knows, maybe this lumpy, bumpy body will fit into that swimsuit a little better come summer.
It’s time for me to start taking my workout lunch breaks again.
